Women's Intro to Mountain Biking

Learn. Discover. Explore.

Ever wonder what tubeless means, why there are so many wheel sizes or why all of your friends just bought a mountain bike? Join the Continental Ski and Bike program staff at Grand Avenue Chalet (Session 1) or Lester Park Playground (Sessions 2 and 3) to learn about mountain bikes and how to ride them. Female, beginners only, no experience necessary, no bike needed. We will have rental bikes and demos available so you can learn skills and discover the joys of mountain biking. Participants will learn about different styles of bikes, mountain biking skills to get you on the trail feeling comfortable. Our goal is that once you are done with the session you will have an understanding of the different kind of mountain bikes and feel comfortable riding on the Duluth Traverse Trail. Each session will run for four weeks. The $50 program fee can be used towards the purchase of a bicycle at Continental. The program will run from 6-7:30pm.
